Guadeloupe

  

 

  

Guadeloupe was discovered in 1492 by Christophe Colomb, along his second trip in the West Indies. The island is an archipelago, with 5 islands : les Saintes, Marie-Galante, La Désirade, Saint-Barthélémy et Saint-Martin.

 

 

French department since 1946, and she has a special standing in the Carribean Sea. She does not take many parts in the Economy of the area, but the relations with the others countries is growing.

Guadeloupe is in fact 2 ilslands, la Grande-Terre, et la Basse-Terre, separated by a little piece of sea, la Rivière Salèe.

The first part has very beautiful beaches. She was called "Beautiful Waters' Island"

The second one has some very nice falls, and a luxurious vegetation.

 As you can see, Guadeloupe is very fond in colours !
